After spending some time in Africa, I realized that the continent has a lot of untapped resources, and the biggest one of them being its youthful workforce. The young African generation has all the passion and will of fire needed to take the continent to the next stage of its development. Unfortunately, wishing for change is not enough for one still needs to know how to make that change occur.

At Trellix, we believe the change we seek for will not be brought to us by big speeches, new revolutionary presidents, or politics. But instead it will come from each of us by the small changes that we need to implement to impact our surroundings and enhance sustainable development. The new generation has the responsibility to carry out this mission which can only be successful if they are well equipped. At the same time, young African graduates lack the skills and competencies needed to instigate that change.

This is why we decided to setup the Trellix Graduate Internship Program, a unique opportunity for young Africans to acquire the skill sets needed to contribute to Africa development in their own way.

What is Trellix.io?

What is the Trellix Graduate Internship Program?

The Trellix.io approach to internship is a bit out of bounds for the local market. At Trellix, we aim to train senior students and young graduates to develop the skills they need to compete at an international level. For a couple of years, we  have been hiring interns in several departments, ranging from engineering, marketing, product research, operations, and customer relations. Our goal is to help reduce poverty by promoting  youth employment and train them to be leaders and change makers in tech. Mirrored on the Silicon Valley practices, candidates for our  internship  program will have the opportunity to learn from world-class professionals, boost their competencies and foster their skills through hard work. It will also be an excellent opportunity to build a reliable network throughout Africa and beyond.

Why should you apply?

Our interns work on real life projects and get hands-on professional experience. That is why we focus on sharpening our interns skills, enhancing their competencies and training them into how to be apt and professional in a competitive market. During the 6 months paid internship program, our interns enjoy perks similar to those of our full time staff. They include, free meal plan, regular collective sport activities such as football, basketball and swimming, as well as retreat within Africa. Since we deal with an international market, we work in a diverse environment.
